​​For more than two decades, Damon's passion for helicopters has grown steadily.

Damon started manufacturing helicopter grapples many years ago.


Proudly designing and manufacturing the fully hydraulic helicopter grapple, designed for use beneath the Black Hawk, New Zealand's largest heavy-lift helicopter capable of lifting 3 tonnes.

This was the first hydraulic grapple in the world to run beneath a Black Hawk.

Damon's expertise drives the creation of high-quality custom-made grapples, offering a versatile range of grapples for the mighty Black Hawk to the nimble Robinson helicopter.

Additionally, Damon and his team have designed and manufactured slash tines for the Intermediate and Large Grapples, optimized for environmental and council work.

Small Grapple

- Fully electric grapple, suitable for any sized helicopter.

- Weight of grapple: 20Kgs.

- The grapple has an opening of 450mm.

- This is a great grapple for training purposes and general smaller work.

Intermediate Grapple

- Fully electric over hydraulic grapple.
- Weight of grapple: 190Kgs
- Remote controlled
- The grapple has an opening of 2.2 meters.
- This grapple is suitable for squirrel size helicopters.
- Designed and manufacturers custom slash tines to fit all our grapples.

Large Grapple

- This is the largest of the hydraulic grapples, which is running underneath the Black Hawk Helicopter.
- Weight of grapple: 320Kgs
- Fully hydraulic grapple.
- The grapple has an opening of 2.8 metres.
- This grapple is running on a 200 foot line, with 200 foot of thermo plastic hose.
- Designed and manufacturers custom slash tines to fit all our grapples.
